When you watched the Lady Gaga Super Bowl halftime show on February 5, how did it make you feel? Good? Remember, this was in the days of widespread national protesting and political anger, which had further driven the divide in our country.
Did GaGa’s music, high-energy and singing make you feel uplifted – a great break from the negativity all around? The majority of the feedback I heard or read was: “it was great and thrilling; an amazing performance; positive and attention-grabbing, with a spectacular light show and impeccable vocals…”
If this fits your experience, what if I told you that you had just danced, tapped your foot, sang along and celebrated the story of Lucifer?
It’s told from Lucifer’s perspective (GaGa) and offered directly to YOU with a parallel to the story between his (Lucifer) relationship with God the Father of Jesus, recalling their past and current relationship. The symbolism and parallels are astonishing, once you watch it and pay close attention to the imagery and the specific verses of GaGa’s songs chosen in relation to the “Fall of Lucifer” in Biblical scripture.
In short, the story of Lucifer is he was created perfect and given everything he needed by God the Father, but Lucifer wasn’t satisfied by that and wanted to do things his own way and be god, so he rebelled, disobeyed and fell from grace. Does that story sound familiar? It’s the same story of you and me – we all did the same thing to our Creator. Thankfully, God provides us forgiveness, grace and mercy, IF we return to Him.
Read the below bible verses AND then look for the following portrayals in the Super Bowl halftime show watched by 117.5 million.
As the performance begins, look for:
Gaga is adorned in jewels and is “above all” the people.
She’s at the highest point in the stadium – “the most high.”
Gaga’s starts with God Bless America.
America is symbolic of the third Promised Land after Eden and Israel (milk and honey) – which all three are in reference to Heaven. God has greatly blessed us, but in return we defiled his blessings and Him. America is symbolic of Heaven, a place where everyone (all people and nations – Gentiles & Jews) are (were first intended to be) free and live and worship under God the Father. However sin again got in the way of its intent.
Lucifer was given reign over the world – “the land that he loves” – the “land for you and me.”
For Christians, the world is not our home.
“This Land is Your Land” was written in response/rebuke to “God Bless America,” a song the writer Woody Guthrie hated because it was not consistent with his socialistic views, so Guthrie penned “This Land is Your Land” as a sarcastic reply to the “unrealistic representation” of America in “God Bless America.” The melody he used is from an apocalyptic Baptist hymn, “When the World’s on Fire.” Marinate in that symbolism…
GaGa then repeats much of the same theme delivered by Pope Francis at the start of the Super Bowl telecast – “one nation; under god; indivisible; for liberty and justice for all.” The irony here is if this was being portrayed for God the Father of Jesus as “God” mentioned in those words, all would be great; however, instead it is advertised as unity under the false god and under what you believe are your own rules (which are in direct opposition of God’s laws). So the only truth in these words relate to “justice for all” which will be God’s judgment of you (non-Christian) vs. (not) keeping his laws – and ALL will be found guilty.
GaGa actually included Lucifer’s fall from heaven – visually! God has telegraphed these “hidden meanings” for all. Unbelievable you actually watch the fall to earth!
Notice this Super Bowl was held in Houston, THE center for heavenly exploration and sets the stage for the Revelation 12 September 22-23, 2017 sign in the heavens, which NASA has apparently withheld much information from us.
Still working on this part, but items of interest include Gaga’s fall and landing on one of two pillars, a realm that is not yet on the ground, but still above. Parallels may be drawn between the World Trade Center twin towers with fire and smoke; the two destroyed Temples of Jerusalem; the pillars of the free masons, the pillars of Boaz and Jachin in the Old Testament (Samson)…
“Pokerface” is about Gaga’s hidden identity (bisexual) and deception, which is exactly who Lucifer is.
Born this way is celebrating sin, claiming this (sinners) is who God wants us to be because “he created us this way.” Truly, WE CHOOSE sin. Gaga sings “no matter who you are, you are on the right track – there is no other way” which is in direct contrast to God’s Word. It’s in opposition to God’s teaching because God said you MUST be born AGAIN (reborn in the Spirit of God) and turn from your ways of “who you think you are” on this earth. “Born this way” vs. born again.
Images of smoke, fire, destruction, dark, on stage (ground) dressed in black – cast down with dark angels. There are Pentagrams as props around the stage, possibly also flashed around the stage in lighting from the surrounding stage particpants (“fans”).
Gaga (Lucifer) offers self as a “super star” just as in Bible.
Gaga flashes an occult hand gesture followed by 6 and 6 (represents 666).
Gaga briefly holds a glass scepter (which will shatter) vs. Jesus saying he will rule with an IRON scepter – again opposing teachings.
Sings the further decline in the relationship between Lucifer and God, which is symbolic of our relationship with God the Father and the non-Christians future relationship with Lucifer. God the Father constantly reaches out to us – “calling us,” and Gaga (like us) responds by saying “stop calling, stop calling, I’m busy (with MY life).
Gaga then briefly wears a coat of jewels, which draws a directly parallel to God’s description of Lucifer in Ezekiel 28: “every precious stone adorned you: carnelian, chrysolite and emerald, topaz, onyx and jasper, lapis lazuli, turquoise and beryl.”
Appearance of illuminated horns twirled which is symbolic of the horns (nations, leaders) described in Revelation.
As Gaga begins to sing from the piano, the camera pans from the sky and we see the field participants move out with their orange lights and the view of that expansion from above looks much like the “appearance of the dragon” that’s described in Revelation 12.
“Million reasons” is a direct parallel of our relationship to God. We experience pain and suffering in this life – anger, frustration and rebellion against God. This life experience gives us millions of reason to walk away from God the Father. What we rarely realize is this life experience is God proving Himself to us; us learning who we are (sinners); and learning firsthand what sin is and feels like in hopes of finally breaking us and us wanting God to fix us – taking away sin from us forever.
That leads into the “Bad Romance,” which also represents Lucifer’s rebellion from his relationship with God the Father, as well as ours. God often describes His relationship to His church as a romance, just as the marriage between man and woman is symbolic of God’s relationship to us. However, because of the sin we experience, we often question that relationship and rebel against God.
Gaga (Lucifer) portrays the desire and plea for you to choose him instead of God, where you can choose your own rules. It’s described as a “Bad Romance” but portrays it as passion, love and desirable things. As Gaga (Lucifer) markets his self as desirable over God, things start to heat up for the final destination into the fire – smoke and flames shoot up. Gaga is then elevated above those destined for the fire (hell) and the sales pitch ends with Gaga (Lucifer) being cast into the bottomless pit (hell) just as described in the Bible.
This Super Bowl theme was not by chance. This was another one of God’s warning to all for what’s about to happen. He telegraphed it and many people missed it or even celebrated along with the desirable performance. Isn’t that just how sin is presented to us – as very desirable?
Christians, wake up! Non-Christians, be warned and answer God’s call to you!
Bible verses referenced:
“How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low! You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’ But you are brought down to Sheol, to the far reaches of the pit.
And he said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.
Ezekiel 28 13-19
You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone adorned you: carnelian, chrysolite and emerald, topaz, onyx and jasper, lapis lazuli, turquoise and beryl. Your settings and mountings were made of gold; on the day you were created they were prepared. You were an anointed guardian cherub. I placed you; you were on the holy mountain of God; in the midst of the stones of fire you walked. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you. Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned. So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God, and I expelled you, guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones. Your heart was proud because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor. I cast you to the ground; I exposed you before kings, to feast their eyes on you. By your many sins and dishonest trade you have desecrated your sanctuaries. So I made a fire come out from you, and it consumed you, and I reduced you to ashes on the ground in the sight of all who were watching. All the nations who knew you are appalled at you; you have come to a horrible end and will be no more.”
And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
Revelation 20: 1-2
Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he cast him into the bottomless pit.
